For far too long we have been going outside Michigan for skills and
services that we need. Our state has exceptional potential that we
should be drawing upon, especially in today’s economic environment.
By capitalizing on these resources, we will help to strengthen our
state’s economy.
As citizens of this great state, we pledge to identify Michigan firms
whose skills and dedication can be utilized to create financial products
and services that are world class. These products will be a strong and
viable contributor to both our state’s economy and its citizens.
Michigan schools are doing everything they can to provide our
students with the skills to be competitive. Similarly, our students
should be able to look to Michigan businesses to give them a chance to
prove themselves.
We pledge to do our part to ensure that Michigan continues to be the
first choice of our children to seek employment, and the first choice of
our businesses to find the skill and talents they need to thrive.
Help us to stop the outsourcing of Michigan’s jobs and families. We all
need to do everything we can. We challenge you to join us.
